On Monday, September 1, two minors both ages seventeen were remanded to the Wagner’s Youth Facilities located at the Belize Central Prison after they were charged jointly at the Belize Family Court.
The two minors were charged with robbery. Since the robbery is alleged to have occurred with the use of a firearm, they were both denied bail and remanded into custody until October 2, 2014.  Since they are minors, we are unable to publish their faces.

Reports are that on Friday August 29th at around 4:15p.m. the minors along with two other men rode on bicycles to the rear of the Western Dairies Ice Cream parlor on Heusner Street where 4 employees of the establishment were loading a truck. Two of the assailants pulled out guns and pointed it towards the workers and ordered them to lie on the floor stating that it was a robbery. Before anything else could happen, the culprits came under fire and the two 17 year olds along with another of the robbers were shot. One of the minors received a gunshot to the upper side of the left shoulder and the other received a gunshot to the back. A third robber was also shot and while the two minors were escorted to face charges, the third was not taken since his injuries were more severe and he remains a the KHMH in serious but stable condition. The fourth suspect managed to escape unhurt.

At the scene police recored a hat, a bicycle and seven 9millimeter expended shells, two point 25 rounds and a point 25 pistol and slug.
