The purpose of the ‘Feed the Children Fashion Show’ is to allow the continued feeding of children in the Twin Towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena; thus allowing their better performance in school. Cornerstone is a registered nonprofit, community development organization in Belize. The organization is located on Church Street in San Ignacio and is targeting kids to have a balanced diet, come September of this year. At this time, Cornerstone is feeding ninety eight children from Sacred Heart, Nazarene and Saint Andrews Anglican Primary Schools in San Ignacio as well as the Sacred Heart Primary School in Santa Elena Town.

A normal day at Cornerstone starts with the cooking of the delicious meals. Kids from St. Andrews and Sacred Heart come at mid-day to Cornerstone for their main meal. A vehicle is committed daily to take the food to the children in Santa Elena Town, due to the relatively large distance of the recipient school from Cornerstone.

“All I want to say is for people to come out and support us to feed our kids that go to school on a hungry belly; it is not easy…I can tell you, please, come and support us…,” says Rita Defour, who is the General Manager of Cornerstone Foundation.
